United Co-Creation Lab partner and supplier Code of Conduct
United Co-Creation Lab is based on The Convention on the Rights of the Child and Human Rights. Respecting the universal social and environmental principles in The UN Global Compact and OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, we will integrate these principles into the operations of the United Co-Creation Lab.
Our partners and suppliers are expected to adhere to the same principles. To that end, this Code of Conduct has been developed.
Furthermore, United CO-Creation Lab adheres to the national laws and regulations of Denmark. We expect our partners to adhere to the national laws and regulations relevant to them.
As a partner or supplier to United Co-Creation Lab your responsibility is to
- read, understand and follow United Co-Creation Lab's Code of Conduct
- ensure that policies are drawn up and necessary measures are taken to comply with the principles of this Code of Conduct
- report concerns about unethical unlawful conduct and cooperate with investigations into such conduct

1. Children's Rights
United Co-Creation Lab is dedicated to promoting ethical co-creation between children/youth and decision-makers, such as heads of state, ministers, politicians, organizational management, NGOs and others.
We believe that children/young people and adults are equal individuals living in unequal conditions. Our co-creation methods and processes must take into account the different experiences and insights of children and adults. Both adults and children can learn a great deal from each other.
Children and young people have a right to be involved in decisions that affect their lives and their future. No one knows more about the lives of children and young people than they do themselves. Their perspectives are legitimate knowledge that is equally valid and essential for co-creating the best solutions.
Children and young people are highly competent to participate in development and innovation processes due to among other skills their unspoiled imagination, encouraging curiosity, significant creativity and sense of responsibility.
It is a prerequisite for collaborating with United Co-Creation Lab that our partners and suppliers share our views on children/young people and act accordingly.
2. Social responsibility and increasing equality
United Co-Creation Lab is committed to act socially responsible including increase equality. Like United Co-Creation Lab, our partners and suppliers must ensure that they
respect Human Rights in all intentions and actions
promote equality by ensuring equal opportunities and broad representation in projects and in the organization e.g., strive for representation of all genders, avoid age discrimination and exclusion due to ethnicity, religion, political beliefs, mental or physical disabilities
offer a protective work environment for all team members and employees, both physically and psychologically
actively seek to achieve a 50/50% gender distribution on its board of directors, in management positions and when appointing project/team members
ensure that all team members are treated with dignity, equality and respect
do not accept any form of forced labor
respect the right to privacy and protection of personal data
do not tolerate discrimination or harassment
3. Environment and climate
United Co-Creation Lab is committed to minimizing its impact on the climate and environment, Like United Co-Creation Lab, our partners and suppliers must ensure that they
commit to reducing CO2 emissions in its own operations
reduce waste from its own operations and focus on the recycling of materials
reduce use of chemicals
ensure the separation of its waste material
strive to make a positive contribution to the strengthening of natural ecosystems rather than have a negative impact on nature
4. Business ethics
United Co-Creation Lab will maintain the highest standards of integrity, act honestly and in accordance with international and national regulations and laws. The prerequisite for working with us is that you as a partner or supplier adhere to the same. Like United Co-Creation Lab, our partners and suppliers must ensure that they
seek to co-create their projects, products, services with children and young people in an ethically responsible way. It is the partner's/supplier's/adult's responsibility to initiate co-creation and ensure children and young people's equal and safe participation so that their full potential can be realized
ensure that no employees and facilitators who meet children/young people in projects and teaching must have committed offenses involving children. A clean criminal record must be presented
commit to implementing the co-created solutions, provided that they fulfill the initial conditions set
commit to recognizing the contribution of children and young people in co-creation processes including acknowledging and honoring any copyright or shared rights of use
clearly states - in words and actions - that any form of child labor is unacceptable. All legal restrictions regarding the employment of children under the age of 18 must be respected
act responsibly and ethical in all business matters
have zero tolerance for any form of corruption and bribery
neither offer nor accept any inappropriate payments or other forms of benefit
takes action to combat money laundering
All partners and suppliers (for collaboration or services more than 25,000 DDK) must commit to comply with the above Code of Conduct by signing a document.
United Co-Creation Lab reserves the right at any given point in the partnership to terminate an agreement with a partner or supplier that does not comply with the requirements of this Code of Conduct.
