PARTNERS & PROJECTS

TRAINING AND RESEARCH
The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) provides innovative learning solutions to individuals, organizations and institutions to enhance global decision-making and support country-level action for shaping a better future. UNITAR was created in 1963 to train and equip young diplomats from newly independent UN Member States with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate through the diplomatic environment. Over the years, UNITAR has acquired unique expertise and experience in designing and delivering a variety of training activities and has become a leading institute in the provision of customized and creative learning solutions to institutions and individuals from both public and private sectors. With a strategy fully focused on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), UNITAR supports Governments and other stakeholders to implement the 2030 Agenda.
UNITAR and United Co-Creation Lab are is in the process of setting up a partnership to facilitate ethical, research-based co-creation involving politicians, and children and youth. This collaboration will emphasize training and sensitizing numerous facilitators globally to ensure that the future is designed with the input of younger generations.

OPEN URBANISM FOUNDATION
"Children, and young people in general, provide the instructions for putting the pieces of our disintegrating societies back together again, and they make it possible to relaunch democracy at its roots by the way they are when we listen to them and take them seriously; welcome to imagination, empathy, the fight against injustice, creativity, energy, friendship and vitality..."

WE BUILD ON AND CONTRIBUTE TO RESEARCH
United Co-Creation Lab's methods, processes, ethical approaches, insight into child and youth development and as much as possible of our work must be research-based. In addition, we continuously seek funding for follow-up research so that we can learn and constantly optimize methods and processes, and document what children/young people and decision-makers gain and learn from co-creation.
This is why we collaborate with several universities globally. Among others, Roskilde University. Their rector, Hanne Leth Andersen, in addition to being a professor and rector, is also a world champion in networking, so thanks to her tremendous efforts, our knowledge network is constantly expanding.

GRIGNY AS CO-CREATION LAB
In Grigny, south of Paris, the city council, led by a visionary and tireless mayor, has drawn up a comprehensive plan to turn the socially challenged city in a more favorable direction. Social services need to be rethought, healthcare needs to be adapted to the multicultural population, new forms of housing designed and existing housing made equivalent, education and schools made more relevant and inclusive. Just to name a few of the city's many challenges.
Very sensibly, local politicians have decided that this development should be done together with children and young people. For example, developing new schools and new ways for politicians and citizens to work together.
Grigny has teamed up with knowledge partners such as the Learning Planet Institute in Paris and others. The city can become a comprehensive "laboratory" for ethical co-creation with children and young people. There are more than 5,000 children and young people, not to mention highly skilled officials and brave politicians who really want the inspiration of the next generation.

It is very encouraging to experience the great interest in co-creating with children and young people. It takes effort and resources to co-create ethically, thoughtfully and with mutual respect. And you have to be willing to change. Co-creation is about finding new and better solutions. Together.
Soon we'll be able to tell you about more organizations that don't want to miss out on the enormous inspiration from children and young people - in a way that enriches everyone involved with new insights. Playful learning for everyone
